"BUCO: SAY IT LIKE BEAUTIFUL"
Founded in 1933 the Jos. Buegeleisen Co., or "Buco" (Say it Like Beatiful), made some of the most iconic styles of motorcycle jackets to date, and obviously good design has played a roll since many of these styles are still done to this day by more companies than can be counted.
After contracting with the government during WWII for flight helmets, Buco saw the potential in moto parts and apparel and an icon was soon to be born. Starting with their JH-1 and 2 jackets, they found a niche with the motorcycle trade and went strong until the death of their founder in the late 60's, when the company was sold to overseas interests.
This jacket is based on the Buco J-21 of the late 1940's. Though this style underwent several model changes, this was the first.
